Listings that no longer demonstrate identifiable machine learning or AI capability, or that fall outside our criteria, are removed to maintain registry integrity. Ventures may reapply once criteria are met.

The registry is designed for UK-hosted data residency, with directory content, submission records and account data held in UK or EEA-adequate infrastructure. Data sovereignty claims made by individual listed ventures are self-declared by those ventures and reviewed editorially; acquirers should conduct their own technical due diligence on any hosting arrangement they inherit.

We collect the minimum data required to operate the registry, obtain explicit consent at the point of submission, and honour access, correction and erasure requests. Non-essential cookies are set only after affirmative consent through the banner, in line with PECR, and consent can be revoked at any time from the footer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, funded by, or acting on behalf of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, any other government department, agency, or public body. References to national policy, standards or funding programmes are provided for information only and do not imply any official status, approval, or partnership.

All consideration is settled through licensed escrow brokered by Saw.com. Funds are deposited with the escrow agent and held; the agent confirms receipt before any asset moves. Only on confirmed deposit do we release the domains into transfer. The buyer then receives an inspection period to verify that every name in the schedule has landed in their registrar account, and funds are released to the seller only after the buyer's acceptance. Neither party holds both the money and the assets at any point.

Step one: sign the purchase agreement and asset schedule listing all fifteen domains. Step two: fund escrow with Saw.com. Step three: we unlock each domain, disable privacy where required, and issue authorisation codes, or push directly where the buyer holds an account at the same registrar. Step four: the buyer initiates inbound transfers or accepts the pushes, typically completing within one to five working days depending on registry, with .uk names often same-day. Where BritainsAi.uk serves the human-readable registry, Britains.ai is engineered to host programmatic surfaces: versioned REST endpoints under an api subdomain, developer documentation, authentication and key issuance, webhook delivery, and structured data feeds of the registry itself. Its short, unambiguous form makes it ideal for endpoint strings embedded in client code, procurement documentation and integration contracts, and the .ai extension signals technical intent to developer audiences without diluting the .uk sovereign identity.

One canonical host serves content; every other core and mirror domain resolves by permanent 301 redirect to its canonical counterpart, with canonical link tags and a single sitemap declared on the primary. Britains.ai is the exception: it operates as an independent technical hub rather than a redirect, so API traffic and human traffic stay cleanly separated while remaining under one owner.

The architecture is designed for it. The registry is structured so listings, categories, regions and verification status can be exposed as a documented JSON API and machine-readable feed from the Britains.ai hub, giving an acquirer an immediate data product alongside the public directory.
